Whether it’s a big goal that has finally reached completion, or one step towards a big project, the completion of any goal, or step, on your schedule gives you a good feeling. When you look at your list of tasks, and you see the small projects, you won’t feel so overwhelmed and it will be easier to complete the tasks, one by one. Being perfect should not be emphasized too much. One of the things that gets in the way of developing new skills is trying too hard to be too perfect too soon. To make changes in yourself, you will sabotage any progress by expecting too much before you should. It is okay to make mistakes because they are inevitable. Unless you are doing everything just right, you will find things that need to be changed because they aren’t working. Learning time management is a process that takes time, so don’t be focusing on perfection when you could be actually doing things. Sometimes you will make a mess of something, and you need to remember that it is okay.
The unexpected can happen, so you need to remember to leave time for you to be flexible if the situation warrants. It’s a good feeling to have a map of what you hope to accomplish during your day. More ways exist than you can count to help you stay focused and your keep time under your control. When you search online, be specific about the skills you are really interested in developing.
